In 2004, Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home became licensed to operate Bulloch County's first crematory. The crematory is operated on the premises of the funeral home. Families request many different types of cremation services and we like to assure families that cremation does not limit one's choices. Families who prefer cremation will appreciate this affordable choice and its flexibility in providing you a wide array of services. Many options are available to those who choose cremation services. Below are some brief descriptions, designed to help you make your decision in planning a cremation funeral.
CREMATION WITH A TRADITIONAL FUNERAL
With this arrangement a visitation is held, with the deceased viewed in a casket. It concludes with a traditional funeral service, followed by the cremation. Giving friends and family an opportunity to view the deceased helps them in their grieving process. This service can also be personalized with a video tribute, a display of photographs and memorabilia of your loved one.
CREMATION WITH A MEMORIAL SERVICE
This service can include a visitation with a memorial service held at our chapel or a church. Cremation takes place before the memorial service.
DIRECT CREMATION
This cremation does not include a visitation or memorial service.
After the cremation you will make arrangements for final disposition of the ashes. The ashes can be interred in a cemetery plot, scattered at sea or on land, or be placed in a niche in a cemetery columbarium or entombed in a cemetery mausoleum.
Many families choose to purchase urns. Joiner-Anderson has a wide range of cremation merchandise available including urns, cremation caskets, urn vaults, and other personalized cremation items.
