Mr. Clifford Lovett

Mr. Clifford Lovett was born on May 21st, 1935 in Portal, GA to the late Rufus F. Lovett and Emma Miller Lovett Kettles. He departed this life on November 4th, 2020 at Heritage Inn Rehabilitation. Mr. Clifford was a graduate of William James High School and later served in the United States Air Force. He furthered his education at Hunter College in New York City where he studied Engineering of Communications and Broadcasting. Later he attained a degree for pharmaceutical sales before retiring. Mr. Clifford Lovett joined Scarboro Grove Missionary Baptist church in 2002 and was a faithful member. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lovett was also preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Lovett, a sister and brother in law Berdie Mae and Charlie Wiggins, and a brother, Rufus Lovett Jr. Mr. Lovett is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 17 years, Mrs. Ola P. Lovett, two sons, Clifford Lovett Jr. and Alvin Moore of New York City, three step-sons, Wayne Parrish, Anthony Reeves of Kirkland, WA, and Jlynn Reeves of Lakewood, WA, two step-daughters, Sharin (Percy) Spells of Portal, GA, and Audrey (Johnny) Kennedy of Garland, TX, his brother, Earnest Lovett of Portal GA, his brother, Edgar Miller of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A graveside service and burial will be held on Monday, November 9th at 11:00am at Scarboro Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Portal with Pastor Johnny Kennedy and Pastor Tony Hall officiating.
