Mr. Henry Brooks "Hank" Morris Jr.

Henry Brooks “Hank” Morris, Jr., 37, passed away on March 23, 2021. Hank was born in Augusta, GA in January of 1984. He was raised in Screven County and attended Screven County High School. He was of the Christian faith and had been baptized as a youth. He was a painter by trade and enjoyed tinkering on automobiles. He also enjoyed watching and playing sports, especially golf, baseball, and adult league softball. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rhunell Berry, and paternal grandparents, Joyce and John Morris, and his aunts; Bonnie Gail Neal and Debbie Humphreys. He is survived by his daughters; Madylin Morris and Hannah Morris, of Newington, GA, his mother, Penny Lee Morris of Hiltonia, GA, his father, Henry Brooks, Sr. (Dot Montgomery) Morris of Richmond Hill, GA, his sister, Angela Morris (Jeffrey) Jaynes of Vidalia, his brother, David Lee (Ashlyn) Morris of Hiltonia, his maternal grandfather, David Lee of Sylvania, GA, aunts and uncles; Betty Ann Scott, James "Jimmy" Scott, both of Sylvania, GA, John, Jr., and Paula Morris of Ellabell, GA, and Tammy and Timmy Cannon of Savannah, GA, nieces and nephews; Taylor Dean, Harley Dean, Laney Morris, Johnathan Simmons, and Grey Morris. Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 5:00pm at the Joiner Anderson Screven Chapel with Rev. Bill Kent officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 6:30pm. For those unable to attend services, a memorial gathering will be held at 7:00pm at the address of 119 1st Ave., Hiltonia, GA 30467. The family asks that everyone in attendance wear Hank’s favorite color, green. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnathan Simmons, James “Buck” Scott, Davie Bragg, Cullie Neal, and Nicky Bragg.
