Mr. Herbert Ronald "Ronnie" Smith

Mr. Herbert Ronald “Ronnie” Smith, age 69, died on Wednesday January 26th 2022 at Memorial Health in Savannah, GA. Ronnie was born on December 28th 1952 in Jacksonville, FL to Mr. Herbert L. Smith and Mrs. Martha Jeaneen Roberts Smith. He was raised in Screven County and a graduate of Screven County High School. Ronnie was a resident of Statesboro but worked for Savannah Luggage Works in Vidalia, GA for over 30 years until his retirement. He enjoyed working on and building guitars, caring for animals, and helping others. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his two sons, Stephen Smith of Atlanta and Christopher Smith of Statesboro, his grandson, Mason Smith, his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Vickie Smith of Rincon and Kenneth and Dini Smith of Nicosia, Cyprus, as well as several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Sunday January 30th at 2:00pm at Double Heads Baptist Church Cemetery in Screven County with Pastor B.J. Horne officiating.
