Mrs. Jean Skinner Cartee

Statesboro, GA Mrs. Jean Skinner Cartee, age 92, died on Tuesday November 23, 2021 at Southern Manor Retirement Inn under the care of Southern Care Regency Hospice. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County owned and operated J & J Fabric for over 27 years. She was a longtime member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a volunteer for Campers on Mission for over nine years. Mrs. Cartee was preceded in death by her husband Josh Cartee, her parents Worth and Alma A. Skinner; a daughter Julie Heil, two sisters Evelyn Woods and Dorothy Aines and two brothers Johnny Skinner and Harry Skinner. Surviving are two sons Steve (Debbie) Cartee, Nathan Paul Cartee all of Statesboro; a son-in-law Gregg Heil of Lithia Springs, GA; six grandchildren Olivia (Travis) Coley of Ft. Benning, GA, Brittany (Michael) Holsonback of Statesboro, Rosanna (Johnathan) Fetters of Griffin, GA, Joshua Cartee Heil, Sarah Morgan Heil both of Lithia Springs, GA and Ian Heil of Birmingham, Al; great grandchildren Jackson Coley, Addison Coley, Greyson Coley, Ellison Coley, Everett Holsonback and Eliza Holsonback; several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside memorial service will be held Bulloch Memorial Gardens at a later date. The family would like to express their appreciation to the caregivers of Southern Manor Retirement Inn.
