Mr. John Michael Scott

December 28, 1994 - April 9, 2022

John Michael Scott, 27, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Michael was born in Bulloch County and reared in Screven County. He attended Screven County High School and obtained his GED from Southeastern Technical College. He was employed as a forklift operator and was an accomplished musician who loved composing music and playing drums and guitar. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John Willie Grooms, Gary and Kay Scott, and Moses and Mary Griner. He is survived by his mother, Wanda G. (Michael) Byars of Gaston, SC, father, Steven (Brandy) Scott of Rincon, GA, father, Johnny Griner of Sylvania, GA, maternal grandmother, Minnie Grooms of Rocky Ford, GA, sister, Kinsley Scott of Rincon, aunts and uncles, John Douglas (Sherry) Grooms, Eva (Dewayne) Godbee, Sara (Shaun) Brannen, Jimmy (Norma) Griner, Brenda Griner, and best friend, Noah Pope. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the Joiner Anderson Screven Chapel from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Little Horse Creek Baptist Church at 2:00pm with Rev. Jim Cheyne officiating, assisted by Rev. Bill Kent.
