Mr. Talmadge Melton Brown Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Talmadge Melton Brown, 87, of Sylvania, GA, passed away on August 29, 2020 under care of Ogeechee Area Hospice at the home of his daughter, Debbie. He was born in Sylvania in 1932 to Albert McKinley and Zelma Wiley Brown. He was a member of the Green Hill Baptist Church and a lifelong farmer. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Brower Brown, and siblings; Ann B. Johnson, Glenn Brown, Alton Brownie Brown, and Juanita Brown Lee. He is survived by his children; Debbie C. Brown and Douglas Counts, Vickie B. (Freddie) Overstreet, both of Sylvania, GA, Holly M. (Chris) Griffin of Sardis, GA, Cindy C. (Steve) Quinones of Rincon, GA, Al M. (Sherry) Brown of Meadville, MO, and Dale (Sandy) Collins of Pensacola, FL, 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and his siblings; Bernard (Sandra) Brown, Marie “Nutty” and Bob Holtzclaw, Margaret (Arnold) Kimbrell, Eloise Collins, and Linda (Kenny) Quick. Private services will be held Monday, August 31, 2020 at 10:00am in the Green Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Karen Zeigler officiating, assisted by Rev. David Sharps. Public committal services will follow at 10:30am in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends afterwards. Pallbearers will be Ben Boyd, Olin Boyd, Will Boyd, Bubba Overstreet, Ryan Brown, and Chris Sims.
